A remodel of a legendary cafe in midtown Sacramento. The clients found some old lumber that was brought back to life and couples with steel for a great look. I did the steel counter tops and trim detail, the shelving, the door table and redwood bar. The cabinetry and concrete tops were done by Urban Design & Construction. My work for the Hot Italian is completed and installed. This was a great project for me. Some of the pieces were my original design along with other pieces that were inspired by other works. Pictured is the wall unit used to display clothing and motoring accessories. All of the pieces were made from SDF (Sustainable Design Fiberboard), painted with zero VOC paint and insome cases, use steel which has a high content of recycled steel in it.
